Cambridge Female Composers Festival Season Launch

It was an honour to help launch the inaugural Cambridge Female Composer’s Festival on Sunday as a soloist in Lili Boulanger’s Psalm CXXX “Du fond de l’abîme”. The large orchestra and chorus were directed by Sarah MacDonald, my director of music at Selwyn College, who is herself a composer and arranger, and a champion of particularly choral music by women. The festival runs until the beginning of March and presents a variety of recitals and concerts, showcasing music by women from many different centuries and from across the world.
