I don’t think there are words to express how exhilerating it was to become one of opera’s fiercest women last week. Carmen Photoshoot
Recently, we took a break from our intense rehearsal schedule for a photoshoot. Our costumes designer, Lorena Paton Romero, grew up in Spain and her costumes are absolutely perfect for our production is set in the 1980s, just post Franco. I have certainly never felt more Spanish or more Carmen than in this gorgeous dress. I usually hate photos, so huge thanks to Johannes Hjorth for making the process so much fun and for producing
It was an honour to help launch the inaugural Cambridge Female Composer’s Festival on Sunday as a soloist in Lili Boulanger’s Psalm CXXX “Du fond de l’abîme”.
